Process of Making Premium Whiskey, Which Your Lips Like to Kiss.

Whiskey is a mania which is actually tasted and loved by every party freak. I can’t even imagine my 25st birthday bash without whiskey as we all know a dry party is actually so boring. We love whiskey in every mood, whether we are happy or sad, but have you ever imagined that what is the process of making whiskey you love to drink?

I think No, but today I am going to elaborate the procedure behind distilled liquor beverage making. Various grains are used to make spirits such as barley, wheat, corn, rye, etc. The aromas and flavors of liquor is never been fully revealed.  Every distillery has its own unique specification of making liquor. Each one of liquor is different and simply perfect for your every sense. One of the best distilled spirit beverage making companies in Delhi is Bang Brews which crafts finest liquors in India. They make premium liquor, which is rich in taste and flavor. Their process of making firewater is unique as well as excludes different flavors. There are six stages to make liquor: - Malting, Mashing, Fermentation, Washing, Distillation and Maturation.

·         Malting Bang Brews use best quality grain, which is first soaked in water and then spread out on malting floors to germinate. Germination takes 8-12 days and during germination enzymes are activated and convert the starch into soluble sugar. After germination the grains go to the kiln after drying. Then the germinated grains store into a big oven because by burning peat the whiskies get some smoky flavor in it.

·         Mashing Now the germinated grains are mixed with hot water in a big container to begin the extraction of the soluble sugar. The liquid mixture of grains and water is called ‘Mash’. Sugar from the malt dissolve and create a sugary liquid which turn into an alcohol. The remaining solid is not wasted and used as the cattle feed and DDGS product.

·         Fermentation The wort is cooled and then it passes into vessels called wash backs. These are made up of wood and the wort in fermented in these wash backs by adding yeast. Fermentation normally takes 48 hours and the liquid after fermentation is low in alcohol strength of around 8% ABV.

·         Washing The wort technically becomes wash after fermentation and the wash forms the raw material first distillation in the pot still process.

·        DistillationThe wash technically distilled in large copper pot stills and the liquid wash is heated which converts the alcohol into vapor and separate alcohol from the water and eliminates the residue of yeast. This distillate known as low wines and contain about 20% alcohol by volume, has now passed into another still called the spirit still and then it again distilled. Wash at the beginning of distillation is very high in alcohol level (called Fore shots) and after the distillation process alcohol is weak (called feints). The Fore shot and Feints are then mixed with the next batch of low wine and re-distilled, then only the pure center cut, which is about 70% alcohol by volume and is collected in the spirit receiver.

·         Maturation The spirit is now put into oak casks which hold the fresh spirit after distillation. The spirit matures in casks for years before it is legally allowed to be called premium whiskey.
